One of the most well-known years in American history in regards to pop culture, political, and social history is the year 1967. That psychedelic year where everyone tripped during that “Summer of Love.” People flocked to San Francisco and did more than put flowers in their hair. The Beatles released Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band on vinyl in 1967. The Velvet Underground and Nico released their self titled debut album. The Rolling Stones were barely scared with a UK drug bust. That bust over at the Redlands estate gave birth to the urban legend regarding Mick Jagger’s then girlfriend Marianne Faithful, and something about a Mars candy bar.
The Trip was released in 1967, starring Peter Fonda. Directed by Roger Corman, The Trip focused on L.S.D. consumption.
